Yellowhead Branch Executive Committee
APEGA is seeking applications for professional members and members-in-training to serve as volunteers on APEGA’s Yellowhead Branch Executive Committee. These member-driven committees function as a conduit between APEGA’s Council, staff and the membership. Not only is it a great way to get a better understanding of APEGA’s role and regulatory responsibilities, it’s also fun! From locally-relevant workshops and lectures, to running engagement events like golf tournaments, participating on your local branch is a great way to get to know other professionals in your region and expand your network.
– Attend and actively participate in 10 meetings per year, approximately 2-hours each
– Plan local outreach events like workshops, science nights, golf tournaments and other social gatherings
– Serve as conduit of information between local professionals and APEGA
– Earn CPD for time donated
– Help promote the engineering and geoscience professions in your local community
– Grow your professional network
– Participate in a vital piece of self-regulation
